According to Fabrizio Romano, three more Liverpool players may follow Roberto Firmino out the door this summer as Jürgen Klopp wants to restructure his squad ahead of next season

According to recent reports, Brazilian forward Firmino has quietly told Klopp that he wants to leave Anfield after eight years for a fresh challenge in the summer.

After making almost 300 appearances for the Merseyside giants, the 31-year-contract old’s expires in June, meaning he will go on a free transfer.

It now appears that he will not be the only one departing the club, with a summer revamp planned to ensure that the team’s disastrous season does not repeat again.

According to Romano, two more players are poised to go for free, with one loan deal expiring.

“There are presently no talks between Liverpool and Naby Keita about new contract and he might be the next one to depart on a free, along with Oxlade-Chamberlain,” he stated on Twitter.

“Arthur Melo is also anticipated to leave; Liverpool do not intend to exercise the buy option.”

Given the amount of criticism leveled at the Reds’ midfield this season, it’s not surprising that three players from that position could leave.

While Firmino’s exit may have come as a surprise, both Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita may not be long-term alternatives for Liverpool.

The loan signing of Arthur was also simply a stopgap for this season.

Losing three players could indicate that the team is planning to bring in three new players, with Jude Bellingham being their primary priority.

Liverpool are now sixth in the Premier League, but a win over archrivals Manchester United on Sunday may push them into the top four.

They are still considered one of the favorites to recruit the English teenager, but if they do not qualify for Europe, he may be convinced to stay at Borussia Dortmund for another year.
