On Gary Neville’s podcast, Jamie Carragher stated that people outside the club do not comprehend how much Darwin Nunez is loved by Liverpool fans
While Nunez may have wasted chances this season, the former Liverpool defender claims that the supporters have always supported him and admire the way he plays.
Carragher made the remarks about the 23-year-old Uruguay international forward during Liverpool’s 7-0 Premier League victory against Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.
Nunez scored twice for Jurgen Klopp’s team, the first in the 47th minute and the second in the 75th.

“Nunez, maybe people outside don’t realize the actual passion that Liverpool fans have for him,” Carragher added.
Darwin Nunez is a talented and promising young attacker who has the potential to be a key player for Liverpool in the future.
The striker’s problem this season has been that he hasn’t capitalized on his opportunities.
Nunez has frequently been put in good situations and given chances, but he has simply not scored as many goals as he should have.
On Sunday, however, things looked different versus Manchester United.
The striker was clinical and scored both goals with ease.
Maybe, just maybe, something has finally clicked.
Other from that, Nunez has been outstanding for the Reds this season.
The Liverpool forward is always a handful for the opposition, works hard, tracks back, and is always available for his teammates, even in the most difficult of circumstances.
