The captain thinks the thrilling Ibrox atmosphere can have a significant impact on the game when the Light Blues meet the Premier League team on matchday five of the UEFA Europa League league phase
“We are really looking forward to it, it is a big European game, we have put ourselves in a great position, so it is just about continuing to do that,” Tavernier told the reporters during this afternoon’s pre-match news conference.
We have been playing well lately, so tomorrow night we need to maintain our consistency and give it our all. “I anticipate that Ibrox will be jumping. Getting the fans on our side from the beginning is our responsibility.
At Ibrox, European evenings are usually the finest. As I’ve mentioned before, the crowd is electrifying and is always on top of you, but ultimately, it’s up to us to encourage the crowd to support us.
Everyone will be eagerly anticipating it and working to make it as difficult as possible for Tottenham, and the atmosphere will be fantastic
.I have never had an experience like that, if you reflect back on the run to Seville, the sound, and the mood. We should be able to replicate that environment since there were some truly remarkable and huge evenings.
“They have a top-quality side, they are a top Premier League team, and it is obviously a European night, so it is a different type of game,” Tavernier added when asked what he anticipates from the visitors tomorrow night.
I anticipate a strong opponent that will play their style, and we will attempt to play ours in the hopes of winning three points.
Knowing that the game will be difficult, we must grasp it, take it by the scruff of the neck, achieve the desired outcome, and give a performance that the supporters will be really pleased of.
“The supporters count on us to win every game. They want us to perform to their satisfaction whether we are playing one of the best teams in Europe or a lower league team in the Scottish Cup, and we must go out there and deliver.
Tavernier feels the team to build on its recent consistency going into this week after keeping three clean sheets in the last three games.

He continued, saying: “We made a few little adjustments to the tactics, and they really work for the team. They are playing well, so it is coming at a good time. You can’t be flawless all the time, but you want to have it throughout the season.
It all comes down to simply keeping up the good work, which is what everyone is doing. We have been quite critical of ourselves in many performances, but lately, I believe we have been very clinical and been rewarded when we are in those positions. Sometimes it is the opponent, and other times it is us as a team.
It’s important us maintaining clean sheets, and lately, as a team, we’ve been doing a great job with the front pressure. Since everyone has been doing that, the focus now is on carrying on.
“We always strive for consistency, and the last three games have demonstrated excellent team performances and various strategies for winning.”
In response to a question concerning his own role on the team and his rivalry with Dujon Sterling, Tavernier stated that they both encourage one another to advance the team.
The team as a whole wants to push each other, not just the starting lineup, he added. “Dujon and I are really close,” he added. Everyone strives for that opportunity, and we all support each other when we are asked to perform for the shirt. We will all keep pushing one another throughout the season because we all want to win the same things. People pushing each other in a squad is only beneficial.
You should always challenge yourself since you can’t expect to start because you’ll get too comfy. Every week I try to push myself, and even when I haven’t been playing, I will keep doing that. I never expect myself to start. It has only involved working hard and supporting the team.
