Darwin Nunez may move to Real Madrid, according to Jacque Talbot, the journalist who broke the news of his intended transfer to the Premier League, after Benfica received a bid from an unidentified party.

This move may be very good for the Reds’ efforts to sign Jude Bellingham.

“They declined to identify the club. According to reports coming out of Portugal, Enzo Fernandez will likely move to Real Madrid, the journalist said in a video posted on his YouTube account.

“It seems like Spain or Real Madrid, so Barcelona? I did not check. Real Madrid is probably going to be the team.

Which is wonderful if you support Liverpool because Bellingham will undoubtedly get more opportunities as a result. I have a gut feeling that Jude Bellingham will eventually move to Liverpool; I truly believe it will happen.

Florian Plettenberg estimates that the Merseysiders will have to pay a cost of between €100 and €150 million (£88.4 to 132.7 million) as a result of their continued outstanding performances for club and country.

There is a slight chance that we’ll be able to close two significant signings for Fernandez and the England prodigy during the summer window (moves that are said to be financially possible).

Naturally, Bellingham by himself would be more than sufficient if the team can recruit at least one more excellent midfielder over the course of the following two transfer windows.

Liverpool has reportedly agreed to terms with a £30 million South American star.

Liverpool and Enzo have reached an agreement on a pre-contract

Liverpool have agreed a pre-contract agreement with SL Benfica to sign midfielder Enzo Fernandez, according to numerous reports.

Jurgen Klopp is trying to acquire a central midfielder, and the Merseyside club missed out on France international Aurelien Tchouameni, who joined Real Madrid last summer.

Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund and England has also been widely connected with a move to Anfield, but the 19-year-old is wanted by a number of other elite clubs.

Fernandez has emerged as another top target for the Reds, and Argentine site La Capital believes, via the Liverpool Echo, that Liverpool have agreed a pre-contract deal with Benfica to sign the South American next summer.

On Twitter, Portuguese daily Record and Spanish publication Diario AS are both reporting the same news – albeit it’s worth noting that both sites state that the claims originated in the other country, with none claiming the story as their own.

Fernandez joined Benfica this summer from River Plate in Argentina, and he has drawn a lot of attention in his short stint in Europe. In the current season, Roger Schmidt’s team is unbeaten in all competitions.

The 21-year-old has played a key role in the Eagles’ success this season, making 24 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing five assists.

Midfield bolstering

Fernandez joined Benfica in the summer for €10 million (£8.9 million) plus €8 million (£7.1 million) in add-ons from Argentine giants River Plate. In his contract, the Lisbon club has included a £106 million release clause.

Transfermarkt has him rated at £30 million, but his worth may have risen more as a result of his achievements in Qatar. The 21-year-old has impressed for Argentina in the 2022 World Cup, helping La Albiceleste reach the quarterfinals.

The holding midfielder did not start either of his country’s first two World Cup games, but has been named to the starting lineups for the subsequent three.

He has made five appearances for Argentina, scoring one goal in a 2-0 group stage win over Mexico, and registering one assist.

Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson, and James Milner are all in their 30s and play in Liverpool’s midfield. Other possibilities, such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita, have been prone to injury during their time with the Reds and are set to leave at the end of the season.

As a result, Klopp is anticipated to make changes to his midfield in the upcoming months, and if these claims are true, it would appear that a deal has been reached to bring Fernandez to Anfield in the summer of 2019.

Darwin Nunez was acquired by the Reds from Benfica last summer, and it is hoped that their positive connection will be a major factor in their ability to secure the services of the Argentina international.
