Dinnery renders a judgment on the latest Jota injury information
Diogo Jota of Liverpool is not ahead of schedule when it comes to a recovery from injury, according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.
Reds doctors are “optimistic,” according to Portuguese publication O Jogo (via Sport Witness), that he will recover prior to the anticipated return date.
Jota hasn’t featured for Liverpool since suffering a calf injury against Manchester City earlier in the season.
Dinnery says Jota is “very much where he’s expected to be” on his YouTube channel, and he doesn’t think the attacker will return sooner than predicted.
According to reports from Portugal, Diogo Jota is a little ahead of schedule, he said (1:40). As far as we are aware, he is essentially where he should be. He did travel to Dubai. as a part of our training camp in the warm weather. He was, however, working on a customized program or simply keeping them informed. When it comes to the Portuguese international’s return to competition, we’re probably looking at the beginning or early February.
With such a serious injury, we think Liverpool needs to be extremely cautious before reintroducing Jota to the starting lineup.
The worst-case scenario for the club would be if the player had another serious injury and was sidelined even longer.
Luiz Diaz, who had an injury setback shortly after returning to training earlier this month, has already dealt Liverpool another blow to their front line.
Jota has played eight times this season and has contributed five assists in the Premier League and Champions League. He will be greatly missed by the Reds.
Liverpool’s quest to crack the top four will make it a challenging second half of the season. They are currently in sixth place in the Premier League, 15 points behind league leaders Arsenal and seven points off of fourth.

Fabregas names Liverpool target as the best teenager available right now, and it isn’t Bellingham
Cesc Fabregas has been graced with his footballing opinions on Twitter
The Spanish midfielder was hosting a social media Q&A when he was asked an intriguing question.
Indeed, Fabregas was asked who he thought was the best young player in the world right now, and he provided his opinion.
From Pedri and Gavi to Jude Bellingham, the world of football is filled with excellent young players right now.
However, Fabregas chose Jamal Musiala, a reported Liverpool transfer target, as the best young footballer in the world right now, ignoring all of the aforementioned players.
Fabregas is a major fan of Musiala, and it’s easy to see why.
This season, the teenager has been one of Bayern Munich’s top players, and he was also one of Germany’s World Cup stars, if such a thing exists.
While Germany was eliminated in the group stages, Musiala provided a rare spark for Die Mannschaft, with his frantic dribbling and ingenuity.
As Fabregas stated, this is one of Europe’s best talents right now, and according to certain rumors, Liverpool is interested in this player.
Musiala in a Liverpool shirt would be quite the sight. A young, gifted youngster who was educated in Germany has all the makings of a star in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Unfortunately for the Reds, Bayern Munich does not frequently sell its great players, so this deal may not materialize.
However, there is no smoke without fire, and Musiala, as an English-born player, may wish to dabble in the Premier League at some point.
One thing is certain: this young man has the potential to be a future superstar.
