Chelsea’s schedule is starting to pick up as they travel to Southampton just three days after their spirited victory over Leicester City

Raheem Sterling’s two goals helped the Blues win a crucial three points despite playing the majority of the game with 10 men.

The victory was the ideal response to the crushing 3-0 loss to Leeds United, lapping any doubts about their mental toughness in the process.

All eyes are now focused on tonight, and the Chelsea Chronicle has predicted the lineup for the trip to St. Mary’s.

Cesar Azpilicueta made a crucial halftime substitution against Leicester, and as a result, he will get his first start since the season’s first game.

Thomas Tuchel has already confirmed that Kalidou Koulibaly will return to the starting lineup in the center of a back three as Thiago Silva will undoubtedly need a break soon.

Marc Cucurella will move to the back three after the former Napoli player switches to the center, where he has been expected to play more frequently this year.

Reece James will look to maintain his attacking form from the wing-back position after recording his first assist of the year with another devastating cross at the weekend.

With injuries and suspensions now limiting Tuchel’s options, it is difficult to predict the midfield role for tonight. Ruben Loftus-Cheek will, however, play in the center once more due to his strong start to the season.

In support of him, Jorginho will remain in midfield while the Blues wait for Mateo Kovacic, who made his season debut on Saturday as a substitute, to make a full recovery.

Following Cucurella’s move to center-back, Ben Chilwell will receive his second start of the season and will be looking to make a statement against competition from the Spaniard.

Despite having a slow start to the season, Mason Mount will still get the chance to play against one of his favorite opponents.

Raheem Sterling will be happy to have scored his first goal for the Blues and will aim to build on his two goals against the Saints.

With Kai Havertz yet to make an impression this season, Christian Pulisic will receive his first start alongside the English duo.
