Liverpool will face Leeds United at Elland Road on Monday night as the Reds look to collect as many points away from home as possible in the Premier League
The Reds were recently held to a 2-2 draw by Arsenal, so they will be eager to get back on track away in Yorkshire.
Jurgen Klopp will line up his team in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his starting lineup for this game. Thiago Alcantara and Darwin Nunez will both start, with Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota dropping to the bench.
Liverpool’s Predicted Lineup Against Leeds United
Alisson Becker will return to goal for the Reds after conceding two goals in his last league appearance. Liverpool’s primary center-halves will be Ibrahima Konate and Virgil Van Dijk, who will try to keep things solid at the back for the full 90 minutes.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will play right back, with Andrew Robertson filling in on the other flank as left back. Both of them will be given the green light to go forward and attack at every opportunity in order to create enough chances for the Reds to win this game.
Joel Matip will be named to the bench to cover the defensive positions.
Midfield
Liverpool’s midfield will be made up of Thiago Alcantara, Fabinho, and Jordan Henderson, who will try to dictate the tempo of the game in the center of the park. If they are to create enough chances for their teammates up top, all three of them must move the ball well.
Curtis Jones and James Milner will have to settle for a bench spot and may be called upon to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Darwin Nunez will play as the left-sided wide player, while Mohamed Salah will try to make an impression as the right-winger.
Cody Gakpo will lead the attack for the Merseyside club in the final third. He must maintain possession and make a few clean shots on goal.
Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota will be named to the bench and could come on late in the game if the Reds are still in need of a goal.
