According to Football Insider, Liverpool is keen on signing adolescent phenom Mason Melia
The 15-year-old wonderkid striker has already created a name for himself in Irish professional football after becoming the club’s youngest-ever player and goalscorer.

His exploits have piqued the interest of Premier League clubs such as Liverpool, who have expressed an interest in signing him.
The Merseysiders’ scouts have been keeping a close eye on the youngster and have given the recruitment staff glowing reports.
But, Liverpool will face competition from Premier League rivals to sign the forward this summer.

Melia, who is 15 years and 132 days old, became Saint Patrick’s youngest senior scorer last month against Wexford in the Leinster Senior Cup.
Kian Corbally previously held the record, scoring in a 3-1 win over Sheriff YC in the Leinster Senior Cup in 2019.
Melia is also the club’s youngest player to make a senior appearance in the modern era, scoring 25 minutes into his debut as a substitute.

The teenager was originally signed by Bray Wanderers but decided to join St Patrick’s.
He is also a Republic of Ireland youth international at Under-17 level, and he was instrumental in their Under-16 Victory Shield victory in the latter stages of 2022.
