Following a disastrous season that has left them on the verge of missing out on the top four, Jurgen Klopp is planning a major summer rebuild at Liverpool in the upcoming transfer window

With Caoimhin Kelleher set to leave Anfield, Jurgen Klopp is looking to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window.

Kelleher has been serving as Alisson’s understudy at Liverpool this season, but the 24-year-old has only made three appearances. Instead, Alisson has started every Premier League and Champions League game this season.

He is still a regular for the Republic of Ireland, but with Gavin Bazunu as the first-choice at Southampton, he is in danger of losing his place in the national team. As a result, Klopp is preparing for Kelleher’s departure in the summer window.

According to the Daily Mail, the Irishman is ready to leave Anfield in search of more playing time. As a result, Klopp has added a new goalkeeper to his summer shopping list, in addition to improving his midfield options.

“He’s also very calm on the ball, so you can use him in the buildup play. He’s like Ali’s blonde counterpart. I have to say it because it’s true: he can learn from an incredible, dedicated goalkeeper coaching staff.

“There are so many role models. Then there’s Ali, who combines almost everything. This department is very exciting because of what is coming up and such. And, Caoimh, we don’t hold back our praise or anything; we don’t say, “No, he’s not that good.”

“No, he’s fantastic. He is extremely talented. We are overjoyed to have him. But, once again, he’s only been training for four weeks, and he wasn’t available before that. He must stay fit if he is to have a future.
