Jamie Webster will fulfill another ambition when he performs at Anfield on Saturday
The Scouse singer-songwriter will provide pre-match entertainment for Liverpool FC Legends’ match against Celtic in L4 in the LFC Foundation charity game, presented by AXA Health and brought to you in association with Forever Reds.
Webster will perform for the crowd before they see Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt, Ragnar Klavan, and many more wear the red shirt again in the 3pm GMT kick-off.
The season ticket holder told LFCTV’s Extra Time show that he is looking forward to his performance: “I’ve always said that doing what I do, particularly with all the Liverpool stuff in recent years, was the next best thing to being on the pitch.
“It’s a dream come true for me to have done what I’ve done with the club, to have had all of the experiences I’ve had, traveling to different parts of the world and playing in front of different fans all over the place.
“But there’s one thing I’ve always wanted to do: play at Anfield.
“Standing there with the guitar, seeing the Kop, seeing everything, it’s just a bucket-list moment, and I’m just so grateful I’ve been given the opportunity.
“It’s also a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for the LFC Foundation, which is the most important aspect of the entire day.”
“What they do for the community – which I’m very much a part of, the community that’s looked after me throughout my music career – it’s amazing we’re going to give back to that community.”
