Darwin Nunez’s meal at a sushi restaurant this week drew the attention of Liverpool fans after his girlfriend Lorena Manas made an unexpected social media comment
Darwin Nunez’s WAG made an X-rated joke about the striker, which had Liverpool fans in stitches.
Lorena Manas followed her beau to England last summer after the Reds paid a club-record £85 million to sign him from Portuguese club Benfica. In recent months, the couple has settled into life on Merseyside, and fans have grown fond of them.
Those who followed Manas’ Instagram story this week were taken aback when she posted a photo of Nunez eating sushi with an X-rated caption. “The two things I like to eat the most,” she wrote.
“The two things I like to eat the most,” she says in English, translating from her native Spanish.
It quickly gained popularity among Liverpool fans, and many had the same reaction. “This is crazy to say, but to be honest, it’s Darwin,” one supporter said.
“I don’t disagree with her,” said a second. “Can’t blame her, I would’ve said the same thing tbh,” a third said.
“You’re lying if you say you’re not jealous,” wrote a fourth. “She’s living the dream,” said a fifth.
“DarRIZZy,” joked one fan. Another, who, like the vast majority of the Anfield faithful, is desperate for summer reinforcements, tweeted: “Can she play central mid, if so sign her.”
While others were looking ahead to Sunday’s match against Premier League leaders Arsenal, they wondered, “Sexually satisfied Nunez against Rob Holding?”
Nunez has now gone four games without a goal since his brace in Manchester United’s 7-0 thrashing last month, but injury has limited his minutes in recent weeks.
After returning to the starting lineup for the midweek trip to Chelsea, he should be ready to go when Mikel Arteta’s side comes to town.
