Conor Bradley, who is currently on loan at Bolton Wanderers, is expected to be promoted to the first team by Liverpool this summer

According to the Athletic, the Reds intend to integrate the 19-year-old into Jurgen Klopp’s squad during pre-season this summer, with Bradley already being considered a possible backup for Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The 24-year-old England international has been largely untested at right-back since breaking into the Liverpool first-team, but Bradley’s arrival this summer could provide some much-needed competition for Alexander-Arnold.

Bradley, who has been described as’superb’ by Leicester City defender Jonny Evans, has been one of Liverpool’s best young players out on loan this season, with the Northern Ireland international playing a key role for Bolton in their push for a League One play-off spot.

Bradley, who has already won the EFL Trophy, will be looking to finish the season on a high note with the League One club, and a late push for promotion could help the defender secure a first-team spot with Liverpool next season.

Indeed, the Reds are well aware that they require a quality backup for Alexander-Arnold this summer, and Bradley could be that option if the teenager impresses Klopp upon his return from Bolton this summer.
