The Norwegian international is being linked with a return to Liverpool.
Berge, a Sheffield United midfielder, has previously been on the Reds’ radar without a transfer to Anfield materializing.
According to the French newspaper Jeunes Footeux, Liverpool could make a January move for the £35 million-rated player.
Dean Jones has confirmed to Give Me Sport that the interest is genuine.
“There’s obviously interest here, and there’s been interest for a long, long time,” he said. Liverpool had looked into this in the past, but he suffered a catastrophic injury at a period when they were probably most interested in him.”

This would be a wonderful addition for Jurgen Klopp, especially because the player has previously stated [TV2 via HITC Sport] that he would want to move to Merseyside.
Klopp’s team is 15 points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal due to a lack of consistency.
But it’s also because the German coach has an elderly and untrustworthy midfield.
The ones that are constantly available are unreliable and getting older, while the more powerful ones, such as Thiago Alcantara, are prone to injury.
