Nottingham Forest appear to be heading for deadline-day anguish as a result of their lengthy quest for Ibrahim Sangare
The Reds have been after the Ivorian all summer, but the deal appears to be falling apart.
Following PSV’s qualification for the Champions League, the 25-year-old appears to be dedicated to staying with them for the foreseeable future. According to journalist Rik Elfrink, the Reds will need a last-minute miracle to sign him.
It was reported yesterday that Forest and PSV have reached an agreement on Sangare. It was claimed that the user could now choose whether to stick or twist.
The midfield enforcer has been the Reds’ main aim since the start of the transfer window. Forest was hoping to sign Sangare despite interest from Liverpool, PSG, and Bayern Munich.
But, according to reports, things have become worse. It should come as no surprise given the player’s importance in helping PSV move to the Champions League group stages.
