“Caleb’s not scared of the moment,” one staff member said privately. “He plays like he’s been here for years. He just has that belief in himself  and you can’t coach that.”

Wilson’s confidence isn’t arrogance  it’s clarity. He knows the standard at UNC. He’s aware that players like Harrison Barnes, Marvin Williams, and Coby White all came through Chapel Hill as five-star phenoms before him. But he’s not comparing himself to anyone. After back-to-back seasons that left UNC searching for consistency, head coach Hubert Davis has emphasized mentality as much as execution. The 2025–26 team, loaded with veteran guards and athletic wings, is looking to blend poise with passion  and Wilson fits that mold perfectly.
