Manuel Ugarte has announced his impending move to PSG as the Premier League trio of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United prepare to part ways with Sporting Lisbon.
While it is widely assumed that the Uruguay international will join the Ligue 1 winners next season, formal confirmation has yet to be provided.
At least, until today.
Unai Emery has explored bringing Manuel Ugarte to Aston Villa, according to the Birmingham Mail. Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and a Newcastle United team have all expressed interest in Inter Milan‘s Nicolo Barella (Record).
Ugarte, on the other hand, has now broken his quiet, declaring following Uruguay’s 4-1 thrashing of Nicaragua on Wednesday that the French city will be his final destination.

The only sadness for Ugarte is that his arrival coincides with the departure of a certain Lionel Messi.

Liverpool, on the other hand, will now focus on Manu Kone of Borussia Monchengladbach and Khephren Thuram of Nice.
“He’s almost certainly not going to remain. “I’m certain he’ll leave,” Chijane told O Jogo.
“Liverpool? There has been much discussion, but they are not the only club (interested). There are more. There are several bids on the table. “I believe the situation will be resolved in 15 days.”
Chijane may have arrived a fortnight late, but his confidence appears to have been well-founded.
