Harvey Elliott, a Liverpool kid, astounded football broadcaster Richards Keys with his performance against Manchester United

Elliott was a late addition to the Liverpool teamsheet on Sunday. With Stefan Bajcetic in such strong form, many expected the young Spaniard to preserve his place during United’s visit.

Instead, Jurgen Klopp stuck with another of his young stars. It turned out to be an excellent decision. Elliott dominated Casemiro and Fred all day, even setting up Liverpool’s second goal of the day.

Keys paid tribute to the England U21 international in his blog at richardajkeys.com.

“Liverpool were fantastic. They’ve answered every question thrown at them recently, but Klopp isn’t foolish enough to believe they’re back,” stated the beIN SPORTS broadcaster. “In an adrenalin filled atmosphere two of his elderly mid-field were outstanding, but Henderson and Fabinho can’t play at those levels every week anymore. Klopp needs to fill the position. Elliott astounded me. Is there, after all, a player in there? And congratulations to Salah, who must reach such heights every week now if Liverpool is to qualify for the Champions League – and possibly turn the tie against Real Madrid around? Who can say? We all do, after all!

Elliott demonstrates what all the fuss is about.

To be fair, many football fans will dismiss Keys’ words out of hand. He isn’t well-known for his fantastic takes. Yet he could have a point here.

So, as excellent as Elliott has been for Liverpool on occasion, he has typically fallen short of expectations. That may seem unjust to a guy who is still only nineteen years old, but Harvey comes with a lot of hype. He’s been described in ways that don’t necessarily mirror what he’s demonstrated on the field over his Reds career.

But the youngster would be the first to admit it. Elliott expects a lot from himself because he is aware of his abilities. We witnessed what kind of heights he can attain on Sunday. einsteineruploading up to get together with.

In reality, he probably deserved to start as well. When he came off the bench in the second half against Crystal Palace, the No.19 was the Reds’ finest player. Elliott also played well against Wolves last week, and he was Liverpool’s main goal threat for much of the game.

Harvey has had a difficult start to the season, so it’s encouraging to see him playing with a bit more freedom. He was still the only player to appear in every Liverpool game this season, and he appeared to be carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders in those early months.

Klopp is using him more cautiously now that he can rest when necessary. It’s beginning to pay off. There have to be a couple more of these performances on a regular basis, but Elliott finally deserves the praise he’s receiving. Harvey, keep going!
