Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard has stated that Mohamed Salah is his current favorite player at the club.

In an interview with LFCTV, the former captain revealed to the Egyptian how he has now surpassed John Barnes to become his favorite Reds player.

“Who was your favorite player?” Salah inquired.

“Are you growing up? “John Barnes,” Gerrard responded.

Barnes was similar to yourself. A thrilling dribbler. He might score individual goals, like yourself, and he could change or win a game.

“You are now my favorite.

“That has to be you because Lio, my Lio [his son], he’s infatuated,” he says. He prefers you to me. He adores you more than he adores me. “I come in second.”
