Tottenham Hotspur are trying to strengthen their defense in the coming weeks.
Spurs have already signed many important players as Ange Postecoglou attempts to assemble a formidable group.

Tottenham has signed Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent basis, as well as Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison.
Spurs are reportedly interested in Wolfsburg defenders Micky van de Ven and Edmond Tapsoba.
Sky Sport Germany has offered an update on the status of Van de Ven‘s future.
They claim Van de Ven‘s resignation is ‘not far-fetched’ since he ‘flirts with an exit’.
According to media sources, Tottenham are a ‘hot candidate’ for the Dutchman’s signing, according to Sky Sport Germany.
However, as of Friday morning, Wolfsburg had not received a bid from the Spurs for him.

Simultaneously, it appears that the German company has ‘already planned’ for life without Van de Ven.
Moritz Jenz and Cedric Zesiger have joined Sebastiaan Bornauw and Maxence Lacroix.
With that in mind, they are well-served by center defenders.
Tottenham must keep in mind that Wolfsburg will not let him move cheaply.
Sky Sport Germany claims that they want more than €30 million to release Van de Ven.
In our opinion
Van de Ven appears to be an excellent addition to Tottenham’s squad.
The 22-year-old has grown in stature since joining Wolfsburg from Dutch club FC Volendam in 2021.

Van de Ven appeared in 26 club games last season, including 33 in the Bundesliga.
He also captained the Netherlands Under-21s, demonstrating his strong leadership abilities.
Aside from his quality, leadership abilities, and attitude, his height, physicality, and speed are all ‘outstanding’.
Sky Sport Germany claims that they want more than €30 million to release Van de Ven.
Spurs might soon be getting a bargain who seems certain to become a star for less than £30 million.
Speculation appears to be on the correct track, so maybe we won’t have to wait long for a breakthrough.
