Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has been connected with Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.
According to The Daily Star, new Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou is interested in Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.
When Postecoglou was in charge of Celtic, he worked with the USA international defender and former Spurs academy graduate.
Cameron Carter-Vickers, a Celtic defender, may flourish at Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Hotspur should reconsider giving Cameron Carter-Vickers a second opportunity, in our opinion.
The USA international has been outstanding for Celtic and is an important member of the Glasgow giants’ squad.
The 25-year-old centre-back has twice won the Scottish Premiership, twice won the Scottish League Cup, and once won the Scottish Cup.
Tottenham had Carter-Vickers on their books from 2009 until 2022.
During his time with the North London club, the center defender failed to make a single Premier League appearance.
The 25-year-old was declared ineligible.
While on loan at Tottenham, Carter-Vickers played for Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, Stoke City, Luton Town, AFC Bournemouth, and Celtic.
Spurs subsequently transferred the American defender to Celtic for £6 million in the summer of 2022 (The Daily Mail).
Of course, the Premier League is a far higher level than the Scottish Premiership, but if Postecoglou believes Carter-Vickers will thrive in the top flight of English football, Spurs should seriously explore a move.
