Manchester United might have a free run at Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.
Chelsea have allegedly notified Brighton that they will not pay their £80 million value for Moises Caicedo, giving Manchester United a significant boost in their pursuit of the midfielder. After abandoning their ambitions to acquire Mason Mount, the Red Devils apparently shifted their emphasis to a chase of the Seagulls star.
Erik ten Hag, on the other hand, may get the final laugh over Chelsea, since it has been stated that the Blues are hesitant to pay the price tag of their own target. Brighton are reportedly asking £80 million for Ecuador wonder Caicedo, whose performances in the Premier League last season piqued the interest of Europe’s best teams.
The 21-year-old has been linked with high-profile Premier League moves to Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal. The Old Trafford club, on the other hand, may now have a free run at a contract with the Seagulls.
The Times reports that Chelsea has informed Brighton that they will not match the £80 million valuation. United is now the only club with a chance to sign the explosive talent. Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing West Ham captain Declan Rice for £100 million.
