According to the Daily Mail, Boehly intends to fly to Portugal in order to press a deal to bring the Argentine midfielder to west London, fearing that a delay until the summer will allow Liverpool to enter the picture as legitimate competitors for his signature.
Fernández’s release clause is set at $131 million (£105 million/€120 million), and Benfica is unwilling to bend on that figure.
