Argentina’s squad will go down in history, and the 21-year-old Liverpool target took center stage throughout the final in Qatar with a fantastic performance that gave him the trophy he deserved.

Fernandez, dubbed a “game-changer” by reporter Roy Nemer, took 118 touches, delivered 77 accurate passes, made one key pass, won a whopping 11 ground duels, and completed 50% of his dribble attempts over a grueling 120-minute performance, also completing an impressive 10 tackles and making one last-man tackle to keep Argentina firmly in the game.

Fernandez also received an individual honor following the penalty shootout triumph, receiving the Young Player of the Tournament title for his achievements during the World Cup.

Liverpool are in desperate need of game-changing players in their roster as they sit sixth in the Premier League table, their worst start in the top level in a decade, and Fernandez might be the key to unlocking success at Anfield once again.

As a result, FSG must do everything possible to finalize the signing of the Argentine wonderkid in 2023 and make Benfica an offer they cannot reject when the transfer window reopens in the new year.
