Liverpool have met to discuss a risky Bayern Munich transfer, but a top German source has explained why Jurgen Klopp is so reliant on Thomas Tuchel
When it comes to overhauling their midfield this summer, the Reds have been forced to shift their focus away from Jude Bellingham.

Fabrizio Romano stated that at least two, if not three, new central midfielders will be signed. With additions needed at centre-back and full-back, Liverpool couldn’t afford to spend the majority of their budget on one player.
Over the last 72 hours, various midfielders have been linked. During his most recent press conference, Jurgen Klopp revealed that his team is tracking 12 midfielders.
Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister, Nicolo Barella, and Ryan Gravenberch are among those known to be on the Reds’ radar, to name a few.
Gravenberch of Bayern Munich would be a bit of a risk given how his first year in Bavaria has gone.

Indeed, the Dutch international, 20, joined Ajax last summer but has yet to make an impression in Germany. Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich have proven too difficult to remove, as Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzer discovered firsthand.
Gravenberch has only played 324 minutes in the Bundesliga this season. As a result, he has virtually no experience in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
Liverpool, on the other hand, believes he has untapped potential. Indeed, BILD’s Christian Falk is the most recent to express their enthusiasm.
Falk tweeted that Liverpool had met with Gravenberch’s agents following the conclusion of their Bellingham chase.

However, Klopp’s recruitment team face an uphill struggle to forge a deal, with Falk stressing Bayern ‘insist’ Gravenberch is ‘not for sale’.
Clearly, they aren’t ready to give up on a player who was signed just last summer. As a result, if Klopp is to add Gravenberch to his midfield ranks, he will have to rely on a U-turn from Bayern and, in particular, Thomas Tuchel.
Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is expected to be given funds to reshape his squad as he sees fit. Kimmich and Goretzka will undoubtedly remain, but if Tuchel seeks competition for the pair, Gravenberch could be given permission to leave.

For the time being, however, all of this is hypothetical, and Liverpool appear to be sleepwalking into a dead end for Gravenberch.
