Liverpool is said to be ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah during the January transfer window
Yunus Musah, a Valencia midfielder, is rumored to be a target for Liverpool.
The Reds had been linked with a move for the teenage midfielder, who starred for the United States at the World Cup in Qatar. His tournament results have fueled rumours that he may depart Valencia.
During the competition, Liverpool was originally connected with a deal for Musah. The 20-year-old was a key member of his side before they were knocked out in the last-16 round against the Netherlands.
Liverpool are apparently interested in signing Musah soon.
The Reds are one of three clubs interested in signing the midfielder, according to the Spanish news outlet Fichajes.
Jurgen Klopp is thought to be interested in signing Musah to improve his midfield options. The guy is a long-term acquisition who has yet to prove himself at a “major club” like Liverpool, according to the source.
Musah has been linked to two other Premier League clubs. Chelsea and Arsenal are also said to be interested in signing Valencia.

Liverpool’s FA Cup defense against Wolves begins this weekend with a reunion with one of their erstwhile hopefuls.

In order to gain more first-team experience, the young defender decided to return to his home country and join PSV on a season-long loan. Since then, he has made just eight appearances for the Eredivisie club, the latest chapter in what appears to be a disappointing career.
Hoever is fortunate in that he is only 20 years old and has plenty of time to get back on track, securing what might be a valuable windfall for the Reds. But first, he’ll most likely watch this weekend’s FA Cup match between Liverpool and Wolves.
