According to a report, Leicester City have begun work on replacing Youri Tielemans and may enter a transfer war with Liverpool for a top midfielder
Tielemans is a Leicester City fan favorite, having played a key role in the club’s recent success under Brendan Rodgers. During his time at the King Power, the Belgian has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
In the 2021 FA Cup final, he scored a stunning goal past Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, his best moment in a Leicester shirt. That goal proved decisive, and Leicester won the historic trophy for the first time in their history.
However, the Foxes will soon be forced to play without Tielemans in the center of the field. He has reached the end of his contract with the club and is set to leave on a free transfer this summer.
Many Leicester fans expected Tielemans to be sold for a lower price during the January transfer window. This method would have resulted in them bringing in some money for him.
Tielemans, on the other hand, has told Leicester officials that he wants to pick his next team without having to wait for bids to be submitted and then accepted.
Liverpool and Arsenal are both expected to make contract offers to the 25-year-old.

Sanches would be a statement signing for Leicester, given that he currently plays for France’s richest club and has previously represented German giants Bayern Munich.
However, he should not be too difficult to apprehend. PSG has decided to sell him if an appropriate bid is received. Because of injuries, Sanches has only played a minor role this season.
The report does not specify how much Leicester must pay for the Portugal international. On transfermarkt, he is valued at €25 million (£22 million).
Before they can sign Sanches, Leicester must first get out of the relegation zone and secure their place in the Premier League for next season. They are currently ranked 17th, just one point above the drop zone.
Leicester could face stiff competition for Sanches, as Liverpool have also begun negotiations. According to 90Min, Liverpool has added Sanches to their list of potential midfield additions.
