Jurgen Klopp stood motionless as Mohamed Salah took his penalty for Liverpool against Arsenal
Jurgen Klopp celebrated Mohamed Salah’s penalty against Arsenal despite the fact that the Liverpool forward missed the spot-kick.
Klopp chose to face the crowd rather than watch Salah step up to take the shot. The German initially thought Liverpool had scored the penalty and leveled the score in a tense game at Anfield.
When he turned to face the field, he realized Salah had missed, and his joy was short-lived as he stood wit
“You sometimes get that little bit of luck on your way to a title, and Arsenal have just had it, Holding’s just had it, Ramsdale screams with delight,” Sky Sports commentator Gary Neville said after the miss.
“[Salah] simply passes it past the post; nothing else can be said.”
h his hands turned outwards in confusion.
Salah has now missed two penalties in a row for Liverpool, having also missed a penalty in the defeat to Bournemouth last month.
Arsenal, which leads the Premier League by one point over second-placed Manchester City, was leading 2-1 when the Egyptian missed from 12 yards.
