Following Diogo Jota’s late winner against Tottenham on Sunday, Liverpool will look to make it five wins in a row by beating Fulham at Anfield on Wednesday, with another home game against Brentford coming up next weekend

Liverpool kept its shaky Champions League hopes alive with a win over Tottenham, but with Manchester United and Newcastle also winning, there was no ground gained on the top four spots.

The only thing Jürgen Klopp’s men can do is keep picking up three points and see where it takes them, with the Europa League more than within reach.

There is no doubt that finishing fifth or sixth would be a disappointment in comparison to where expectations were at the start of the season, but in the context of how the season has gone, it would be something of an accomplishment.

Liverpool will hope to get back on track over the summer, and finishing this season strongly will be a big boost when the new season begins in August.

Beating Fulham is the next target for Liverpool, and the Reds could have a couple of players back in contention.

After missing the previous three games due to a muscle injury, it is unclear whether Firmino will be available to play against Fulham.

He’s unlikely to start with so many other options, but with his Liverpool career winding down, missing another Anfield game would be a shame. Klopp will provide an update at his press conference on Tuesday at 1.30pm.

Naby Keta’s

Klopp anticipated that Keta would return to training on Friday, but he was not present. Even if he returns, getting minutes this week appears unlikely.

Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott both played against Spurs, with the former particularly impressing, while Jordan Henderson and James Milner are available to fill one of the number eight positions.

The Spanish international was not named to the bench for Liverpool’s match against Tottenham Hotspur, but he was present and drew a puzzled look from his manager while seemingly translating for Darwin Nez before he entered the pitch.

It is unknown why Thiago was absent, but he was seen limping to the bench before kickoff, which does not appear to be good news.

Stefan Bajeti and Calvin Ramsay

The talented adolescent duo has been missing for some time and will be out until the summer, with Ramsay and Bajeti undoubtedly ones to watch in the future.

Ramsay could be an ideal back-up for Trent Alexander-Arnold, while Bajeti’s quality has already been established: he will be an important part of the midfield revamp before next season.

During Liverpool’s game against Tottenham, Klopp was injured when he charged down the touchline in front of the Main Stand toward fourth official David Brooks while celebrating Diogo Jota’s winner.

Klopp stated that he was in pain and that he may have strained his hamstring. During tomorrow’s press conference, he will almost certainly be asked for an update on his own fitness in preparation for Fulham!
