Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool didn’t appear to be in a good mood on Sunday
Jurgen Klopp substituted him after 59 minutes of the Reds’ FA Cup defeat against Brighton, when the score was 1-1.
Prior to that, Alexander-Arnold had not been playing well for Liverpool.
However, David Thompson, a former professional at Anfield, has indicated that two other players were also to blame.
Thompson tweeted that Alexander-Arnold should scold Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita for ‘pretending’ to track back at the Amex Stadium, leaving him vulnerable.
If I’m Trent today I’m calling out two players who have hung him out to dry Salah and Kieta killed him all day leaving him exposed pretending to track back giving it away every time!!!

Alexander-Arnold is a liability defensively at times, despite his offensive brilliance.
That’s why Klopp should speak with Salah and Keita if he agrees that Alexander-flaws Arnold’s against the Seagulls are the result of others failing to fulfill their defensive tasks.
When you’re not outstanding on defense, you need help, and Alexander-Arnold got none from his teammates on Sunday, according to Thompson.
If that’s the case, it begs the question of whether the Liverpool players are still bothered, which is a pretty worrisome indicator, and the results don’t show that notion very wrong.
