“I got the best out of that Tottenham team,” Conte said.

Antonio Conte, the coach of Napoli, states he “got the maximum possible” out of Tottenham Hotspur, who have declined since he left, but he still hopes to win the Scudetto with a third different Serie A team

The tactician has won nine of his previous ten competitive games, drawing the other 0-0 away to Juventus, and is now leading the Serie A table with Napoli.

He won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2017 and three consecutive titles with Juventus from 2012 to 2014 before moving on to Inter in 2021.

Tottenham Hotspur was mentioned as possibly the only team where Conte found it difficult to perform, but he insisted that was a result of its own doing.

Since Tottenham was in ninth place when I joined and we advanced to the Champions League, I believe they performed exceptionally well. They failed to qualify for the Champions League in the two years following my departure, which was due to personal circumstances.

“I believe I accomplished a lot there as well. I can expedite things and bring out the best in the team if people ask me for miracles, but that doesn’t guarantee that we will succeed. I believe I got the most out of that Tottenham team.

Conte highlights Tottenham’s difficulties following his exit.

The Italian strategist managed 41 wins, 12 draws, and 23 losses while serving as a substitute for the Spurs from November 2021 to March 2023.

In 2021–2022, they advanced to the Carabao Cup semifinal, and in March 2023, Milan eliminated them from the Champions League Round of 16.

He stirred up controversy among Tottenham supporters at the time by pointing out that the club’s past did not justify aspirations much higher than that.

Conte is currently at Napoli, and despite their shocking 3-0 loss to Verona to start the season, they haven’t looked back.

Given that we set ourselves a three-year window, it would be amazing for Napoli to win the championship. Milan won three years ago, Juventus four, and Napoli two years ago. The difference is that we lost a lot of players and ended up in 10th place, whereas those clubs went on to finish in the top four.

“The process still needs to be completed, but miracles can occur and we can expedite it.

“We must maintain our humility because reaching our goal of Europe would already be something exceptional.”
