Liverpool were put through their paces at the AXA Training Centre yesterday in preparation for their Premier League match against Leeds United.

The Reds travel to Elland Road on Monday evening looking for their first Premier League victory in five games. Jurgen Klopp’s team struggled against Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal, dropping them to eighth place and 12 points out of the Champions League places.

With nine games remaining, a top-four finish is highly unlikely, but Liverpool must be encouraged after rallying from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against leaders Arsenal last time out.

The Reds posted photos from a recent training session ahead of their trip to relegation-threatened Leeds.

Following a devastating knee injury, Luis Diaz is on track to return to the squad for the first time in six months. He was spotted at the club’s Kirkby base with 28 other teammates. Diaz had been back in training for about two weeks and was scheduled to begin full-body workouts this week.

However, it appears that Keita will be unavailable once more. Last month, while on international duty with Guinea, the midfielder suffered a muscle injury. Keita has missed the last three games. Both Stefan Bajcetic (adductor) and Calvin Ramsay (knee) are out for the rest of the season.

There was also no sign of Alisson Becker or James Milner among the main group. However, this does not necessarily imply that the duo will have problems ahead of the Leeds game. This season, goalkeeper Alisson has been a constant in the Premier League, while midfielder Milner was on the bench against Arsenal.

The pair simply could not have been photographed, or they could have missed the session for another reason, as Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, and Joe Gomez did prior to the Arsenal draw.
