Liverpool travels to Elland Road to face Leeds in a game that Jürgen Klopp’s side desperately needs to win later today, with no margin for error remaining this season.
Liverpool hasn’t won a league game since a 7-0 victory over Manchester United on March 5, and with Champions League hopes fading by the game, the Reds need to leave Yorkshire with a win to boost both their table position and the squad’s confidence.
Liverpool is currently eighth in the Premier League table, but a win could move them within two points of seventh-placed Brighton.
Klopp will undoubtedly be pleased with the return of Luis Daz, who is set to play in a competitive match for the first time since suffering an injury against Arsenal in early October. In retrospect, not having Daz for the majority of the season has undoubtedly hampered Liverpool’s season, so having the winger available is great news for the German.
Thiago Alcântara, who made a late cameo appearance against Arsenal last week, is another player who could start from the start. Klopp has confirmed that Thiago is fully fit and will likely start. Only Stefan Bajeti and Calvin Ramsay are still out with long-term injuries, while Naby Keta is expected to miss out.
