This is from The New York Times. They report that Youssoufa Moukoko will demand roughly £6 million per year from any team interested in signing him in 2023.

Moukoko is out of contract with Borussia Dortmund at the conclusion of the season and could depart. Liverpool and Chelsea are among those interested in signing the youngster, but he will not be cheap. Not for a teenager, at any rate.

While Moukoko would not command a transfer price, he would still demand £6 million per year. That is £1.5 million more than Dortmund’s most recent offer.

But it may not even be the most challenging aspect of this transaction for Liverpool. Moukoko wants to stay with Dortmund due of the starting prospects. He’s only 18, though, and few clubs would start him that regularly.

That is, however, the other key requirement that Moukoko frequently initiates for any new club. And it can be difficult to meet.

Youssoufa Moukoko makes demands

We’d love to see Moukoko at Liverpool, but it doesn’t seem likely right now. The Reds will not be able to provide him with regular football anytime soon. Not after buying Darwin Nunez last summer, who himself is only 23.

Chelsea, on the other hand, might use him frequently. Barcelona can even sell a role as Robert Lewandowski’s replacement.

Liverpool are just unable to make such commitments. £6 million per year is a lot of money for a youngster who may or may not be happy. We believe the Reds will withdraw from this game.

Moukoko isn’t the ideal player for them right now, but it’s not the end of the world. He’d be a terrific signing, of course, as he’s a magnificent talent. Emre Can dubbed him a ‘wild’ prospect not long after he started working with him.

However, a right-sided forward might make more sense. Or perhaps someone who is more prepared to be a squad player.
