Brendan Rodgers shares what he told the Celtic players without delay after dropping factors to Kilmarnock

As the furore of Celtic dropping more points in the title race continues this week, the followers are nevertheless scratching their heads as to how a season can unravel so quickly.

Brendan Rodgers and his team have blown an eight-point lead to now being two in the back of Rangers in the title race and is now being heavily criticised for that.

But what is more alarming is the performances that have accompanied the results. For too long now we have watched a Celtic facet toil and grind out these sorts of terrible results with fearful displays that have been all too familiar this season.

Earlier in the season, Rodgers advised how he went ballistic at his team after a poor first half of towards St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park. So you would have to wonder what he said to the gamers after shambles, right?

Listen, I get what Rodgers is trying to do here. He’s pulling at the players’ heartstrings to attempt and encourage some sort of reaction from his group but truly a reading of the insurrection act was once wanted here?

From the players significantly missing in ideas to the defending of the equaliser, there used to be an awful lot greater the Celtic supervisor could have stated to that team of players that may want to have evoked a higher reaction.
