A delegation from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad has visited Liverpool in an attempt to persuade manager Jurgen Klopp to trade Mohamed Salah

More information on the Egyptian’s future has been revealed on social media by journalist Rudy Galetti.

Jurgen Klopp will be trying to bring in at least one new player before the transfer market closes.

Ryan Gravenberch has been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich for some time.

They could also make a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucoure, for whom a contract offer has already been made.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is desperate not to lose any more first-team players this summer.

This summer, Roberto Firmino, Fabinho, and Jordan Henderson have all relocated to Saudi Arabia.

Now, an Al-Ittihad delegation will try to persuade Liverpool to sell Mohamed Salah in the last days of the transfer market.

It won’t be an easy deal to close, but given the amount of money at their disposal, they’ll be sure that they can persuade Klopp to sell.

A Saudi group arrives at Liverpool to sign Salah.
“An important delegation of #AlIttihad travelled to #Liverpool for the #Salah deal,” Rudy Galetti stated on social media.

“The goal is to persuade #LFC and Klopp to release the [Egyptian] player.”

“In all likelihood, the already-sent bid (more than $100m [£79m]) will be increased as an extreme attempt at persuasion.”

A bid of £79 million seemed far too cheap for a player of Salah’s importance and talent.

The delegation may be willing to boost their offer for Salah, but Liverpool is unlikely to have a fixed asking price for the 31-year-old.

On the Ranks FC Podcast, journalist Dean Jones indicated that Salah’s attention has now been drawn to Saudi Arabia.

Given the amount of money being tossed around this summer, it’s simple to see why.

Ben Jacobs said last week that the Egyptian could earn over £180 million per year if he moves.

Liverpool simply cannot afford to lose Salah if they are to return to the Champions League and possibly challenge for the title.

They may, however, listen to what Al-Ittihad has to offer because selling Salah may bankroll numerous transfer windows in the future.
