Axel Disasi, a defender for Monaco, has reportedly entered negotiations with Manchester United, according to Foot Mercato.
During the summer transfer window, the Red Devils are looking to add a new center-back to their roster. Kim Min-jae, a star for Napoli, was originally the aim, but he is currently close to joining Bayern Munich.
With the unfortunate setback, United have focused on Disasi, and Foot Mercato claims that talks over a prospective trade are still going on between the Red Devils and the midfielder.

The 25-year-old is’very close’ to quitting the Ligue 1 team, it is further stated. Although no price is given, RMC Sport previously stated that Monaco could approve of his sale for €40 million.
After Min-jae’s blow, Man Utd resort to Disasi.
Disasi and United have been associated for some time. When they originally became interested in him in March, they decided to pursue a deal for Min-jae instead. Now, the South Korean has decided to sign with Bayern.

United’s focus has now returned to Disasi as a result of this. The Frenchman apparently gave the go-ahead to relocate to Old Trafford, and once a transfer cost is agreed upon, a deal may be simple.
One of France‘s top center defenders has been Disasi. In Ligue 1 last year, he completed 84% of his passes while recording 1.5 interceptions and 2.9 clearances per game.

He was extremely effective in duels, triumphing in 70% of his aerial contests. The former Reims player possesses all the skills necessary for success with United in the Premier League.
According to our assessment, United’s desire to sign Disasi above someone like Jurrien Timber may be primarily motivated by manager Erik ten Hag‘s need for a strong presence in the air.
