Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly offering him to a European team in a shock loan deal in an effort to get him out of Manchester United this week
Ronaldo has appeared in each of Manchester United’s first four Premier League games. Under Erik ten Hag, there are indications that he might not start every important game.
In three games, the striker has played off the bench. And in the one game in which he completed the whole 90 minutes, Brentford defeated Manchester United 4-0.
In the subsequent match, which resulted in a 2-1 triumph against rivals Liverpool, Ronaldo played for barely four minutes.
Marcus Rashford was selected as the center-forward by Ten Hag to increase pressure on the Liverpool defense. Rashford and fellow Englishman Jadon Sancho both scored thanks to the wise choice.
After coming in for Sancho, Ronaldo oversaw the final 22 minutes of the recent 1-0 victory over Southampton. Although the Portuguese is currently playing frequently, this is not how he like to be utilized.
Ronaldo aspires to serve as the attack’s focal point and talisman for United. Ten Hag, on the other hand, prefers to press and harass his opponents by using younger, more vivacious forwards.
This is one of the arguments Ronaldo and Mendes are making this week to leave Old Trafford.
Ronaldo’s top priority, if he leaves United, is to sign with Chelsea, according to the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Ronaldo was once a target for the Blues, but they decided against it and chose to concentrate on other players.
Ronaldo, 37, doesn’t exactly qualify as a clever addition in Todd Boehly’s quest to win over Chelsea’s supporters.
Despite this, the article asserts that the goal scorer would be content to join Chelsea if the chance arose.
Club in Serie A offers Cristiano Ronaldo a chance
Now, another Italian publication, Il Mattino, has a shocking update (via the Daily Express). They assert that Mendes has extended a “free loan contract” to Napoli in exchange for Ronaldo.
Mendes is aware that Napoli cannot pay the star’s transfer fee, which may be in the neighborhood of £20 million. As a result, the agent informed Napoli that they could sign him for the 2022–23 season without paying a dime.
The offer was made on Monday, but the Italian club has not yet responded.
The study refers to the concept as “insane,” and it is easy to understand why. There is no way United would consent to letting one of their finest players ever depart on a free loan for a full season.
The final season of Ronaldo’s United deal is July 2023. Because of this, they will probably elect to keep him on the team till then.
Additionally, United will be allowed to demand a fair price for Ronaldo if he submits a transfer request.
Mendes is looking into every option to try to help his client leave Manchester. Cristiano Ronaldo wants to participate in the Champions League but is concerned how he would fit into Ten Hag’s strategy.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner must accept that he will continue to play for United for another 10 to 12 months.
When his deal with the Red Devils expires, he will have the choice of joining a UCL team or returning to Sporting Lisbon, his first professional squad, on a free transfer.
United has declared that they have agreed a deal to sign Brazilian winger Antony in a record-breaking transaction.
