Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a midfielder for Liverpool, is “almost certain” to depart, and news of “increasing Premier League interest” is adding to his “dilemma.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain has played 142 games for Liverpool since arriving from Arsenal five years ago. His time at Anfield has been hampered by injuries, but overall he has been a useful performer.

He has tallied 18 goals and 15 assists over that time. After missing most of his second season due to a knee injury, he made the majority of his appearances for the Merseysiders in his first and third seasons.

In all competitions during his third season at Liverpool (2019–20), he played 43 times. Since joining the team, he has made the most appearances in a single season.

His role has now changed; over the following two seasons, he appeared in a total of 46 games.

He has been sidelined by injuries once more this season, and as a result, has played very little. Only four of the midfielder’s nine appearances in all competitions have been as the starter.

His contract expires at the end of the current campaign, therefore it would be expected if he were not retained.

In light of this, it has been suggested that Jurgen Klopp would be willing to keep him at the team for a little longer. Whether he believes additional midfield targets will be simple to obtain could determine that.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is a prem favorite.

While there is a potential that he will stay, Oxlade-departure Chamberlain’s seems more plausible. He will reportedly quit Anfield, according to The Daily Mail.

The only uncertainty surrounding that is when he exits the building. In fact, according to that story, he is currently faced with a “dilemma” on when to go.

He could decide to go now even though he would be free to do so in the summer. It appears like he will have plenty of chances to do so.

According to the article, the midfielder is attracting “increasing Premier League interest.” As a result, he might be in a position to act and make an impression right away.

No sides that are interested in him are mentioned in the report.

The midfielder may wish to seize this opportunity to move on given that he has only been given four Liverpool starts this season despite being available for 11 games.

A major decision is coming.

In the summer, there will undoubtedly be interest in him. With 232 Premier League games under his belt and a 29-year-old, Oxlade-Chamberlain won’t be short of choices.

He appears to be a player who can continue to play in the top division for some time.

But those choices might not be the same as the ones he currently has. The Daily Mail makes mention of the potential for a “flooded” market this summer with a “host of players in his position.”

As a result, he must make a crucial choice on whether to move now or wait until then. It wouldn’t be shocking if he left Liverpool right away if Liverpool received a good Premier League offer.
