Arsenal’s ace who played 90 minutes against Liverpool misses PNE trip due to load management, but duo fit in big boost – report

Arsenal defender Ben White will miss tonight’s trip to Preston North End due to load management, while Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber will travel with the rest of the squad, according to Con Harrison

The scout and insider, who has appeared on the BBC and The Overlap, as well as being followed by Ben Jacobs, Jacob Steinberg, and Darren Lewis on X (previously Twitter), made the announcement on the social networking platform this afternoon.

White played 90 minutes in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Emirates Stadium, but he will now get a well-deserved rest in the Carabao Cup round of 16 against the Championship team.

Saka was replaced in the 85th minute by Gabriel Jesus, as Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta chose to rest him after missing the previous two games due to injury.

Timber was forced out in the 76th minute against the Reds due to a knock, and Myles Lewis-Skelly replaced him, but he is now fit and ready to face PNE.

Arsenal made multiple changes for the last round of the competition against Bolton Wanderers, with several youth youngsters given the opportunity to play and appear in the matchday squad.

The Gunners strolled to a 5-1 victory in that game and will be looking forward to another straightforward game tonight.

The likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelly, Maldini Kacurri, Ismeal Kabia, Jack Porter and Josh Nichols were all involved against Bolton and could get a chance tonight as Arsenal are expected to name a second-string team.

The Gunners are back in action on Saturday with a trip to St James Park to face Newcastle United in the Premier League, and Gabriel Magalhaes is expected to return to action too after he was taken off against Liverpool due to injury.
