Liverpool is still looking for new midfielders ahead of the summer transfer window, and Carlos Baleba has been mentioned
The Reds are poised to make some significant moves during the summer transfer window. Liverpool’s top priority remains Jude Bellingham, although other names are being mentioned as well. Matheus Nunes is one, and Chelsea’s Mason Mount is frequently associated with Anfield.
According to 90Min, another new name has joined the race in the form of Carlos Baleba.
After being given his big shot, the Lille teenager from Cameroon has been in exceptional form this season in Ligue 1.
According to 90Min, Liverpool is one of the Premier League clubs interested in signing Baleba. As they consider their alternatives in the centre of the park, the Reds are thought to be intensively scouting the 19-year-old.
Arsenal, Newcastle, and Manchester United are also said to be interested.
Baleba, described as’very strong and muscular’ by teammate Jonathan David, is expected to cost a comparable fee to that paid by Everton for Amadou Onana.
TBR Opinion: Liverpool urgently require ready-made midfielders.
The prospect of Liverpool signing Carlos Baleba is appealing. He appears to be a player with a lot of potential, so it’s no wonder that there’s a lot of interest in him.
Yet, for the upcoming transfer window, Liverpool’s time may be better spent on acquiring individuals who can fit in immediately. They require an immediate revamp, and Baleba is a player who will require time to adjust.
Of course, it makes sense if they can afford it and get Baleba and a few others. Yet, Liverpool requires the Bellinghams and Mounts of the world right now more than an upcoming Ligue 1 talent.
