Liverpool’s midfield has been a source of concern this season, and the Reds intend to fix the issue this summer while releasing some of their peripheral players
It is no secret that the Merseyside club’s top summer goal is Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, but Jurgen Klopp is set to bring in another midfielder with the England international.
Matheus Nunes of Wolves has been a target for the Reds for some time, and according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool will continue to pursue the Portuguese star, as well as other midfield targets.
No changed for Naby Keita situation. No advanced talks to sign new deal with Liverpool as this stage, he could leave as free agent. 🚨🔴 #LFC

The Premier League heavyweights intend to offload Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and James Milner in order to free up room and cash for their anticipated recruits.
Both Bellingham and Nunes would be welcome additions to Anfield as Liverpool seeks to reclaim first place in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp’s team is currently ninth in the table and will almost certainly lose out on the Champions League next season.
It is unclear how this would affect their transfer intentions, but the Reds will at least strive to beat their rivals to their midfield targets.
