The Nigeria striker will be very expensive.
Massimo Marianella of Sky Sports has hinted at a possible Tottenham Hotspur move for Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen if Harry Kane left.
Who will the Spurs bring in this summer?
The advent of new manager Ange Postecoglou has spawned several transfer speculations in recent weeks, with Spurs completing a deal for Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
Tottenham, led by chairman Daniel Levy, are hoping to boost many important areas of the team with new faces this summer in the absence of an out-and-out sports director.
Vicario will be brought in to replace the potentially outgoing Hugo Lloris, while Spurs are also said to have given the go-ahead for a central defensive acquisition.
On top of that, Postecoglou appears to desire a new offensive midfielder, which has led to their significant and developing interest in Leicester City player James Maddison.
Kane, who shone for Spurs last season, is also being linked with a transfer elsewhere, with Bayern Munich reportedly intensifying their chase.
Man United and Chelsea are also interested in Kane, with Sky reporter Marianella speculating that they would move for Osimhen if the England star leaves.
“It’s been reported that Chelsea are set to contact Napoli regarding Osimhen. Real Madrid appears to have closed one door, leaving Manchester United and PSG as the two most open for a striker. At that moment, a position would also become available at Tottenham.”
Who exactly is Victor Osimhen?
Spurs signing the Nigeria international would be a bold and dramatic move, despite his rumored €120 million (£103m) price tag is pretty high.
But there’s no denying Osimhen’s talent, with the former Lille star scoring 26 goals and assisting four times in 32 Serie A outings last season.
Gary Lineker has described the 24-year-old’s form as “consistently impressive,” while ESPN’s Colin Udoh believes he is a “monster” in the closing third.
