Liverpool have confirmed that they have offered new contracts to four players as they unveiled their retained list following the season’s end.
The end of a season always means the end of at least one career at the club, and we have already witnessed some heartbreaking farewells.
The contracts of Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all expired, creating notable vacancies in Jurgen Klopp‘s first-team roster.

However, there are changes afoot in the academy, with the club confirming the discharge of seven young players.
Liam Hughes, Charlie Hayes-Green, Oscar Kelly, Fidel O’Rourke, Oludare Olufunwa, Iwan Roberts, and Jack Bearne all leave.
Bearne’s name will be familiar to Liverpool supporters as the only player on the list to have made a senior game, which occurred against Aston Villa in 2019.
Along with the 11 departures, the Reds have revealed that four contract offers are on the table.

The most noteworthy is Adrian, who recently stated that he was “really close” to completing an agreement that would extend his tenure at the club to five seasons.
Offers are also being considered for Paul Glatzel, Jacob Poytress, and Reece Trueman.
Glatzel will be allowed to continue his recovery while his injury run continues, but the 22-year-old hopes to return to health and get game time on loan or with the academy shortly.
