Following the latest international break, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson received a warm response from Jude Bellingham

Last week, the two players played together for England, assisting the Three Lions to victories over Italy and Ukraine. Bellingham started both games, with Henderson joining him in midfield for the 2-0 win over Ukraine yesterday.

Following the easy victory at Wembley, Henderson took to Instagram to thank England fans for their support.

“Excellent start to the Euro campaign.” Thank you so much for your help! “See you soon,” the Liverpool resident wrote.

Bellingham was a familiar face among those who responded. During his time with the England squads, he and Henderson appeared to be inseparable at times. And the younger man’s feelings for Hendo are clear; he posted three ‘love heart’ emojis to express his feelings. Sweet.

Henderson continues to mentor Bellingham.
Whether Bellingham joins Liverpool this summer or not, he appears to have made a great friend in Henderson.

Despite their 13-year age difference, the two players appear to be soul mates. Hendo has truly taken the prodigious adolescent under his wing.

Of course, if Bellingham does what we all hope he will and signs with the Reds, that will be very good news.

With the captain’s backing and friendship, he’ll have someone to show him the ropes at Anfield right away.

It may also benefit the pair’s on-field relationship. We’ve seen it with England – who can forget Bellingham’s fantastic ball for Henderson to open the scoring against Senegal in the World Cup? The idea of that link-up being on display at Anfield next season is appealing.

There has been much speculation that Bellingham will follow in the footsteps of Steven Gerrard if he joins Liverpool. But first, he’ll have to walk into Henderson’s. Fortunately, he’d have the man himself to assist him with those first steps. It all makes sense, Jude, come on, we’re all waiting!
