‘You’re going to be surprised’… Peter Grant choices his shock front-three that Celtic must be using

Celtic’s struggles domestically have been properly highlighted on this website online and in the press recently.

With the crew discovering it challenging to penetrate dogged defences, Brendan Rodgers needs to come up with some sort of grasp design that will help his group kill off teams early.

On far too many occasions this season have we considered Celtic take the lead and fail to put them to the sword and on many other occasions we have watched them fail to score at all.

So what is the remedy to this unusual problem?Peter Grant reckons he is aware of the answer and it may depart you feeling shocked.

Adam Idah’s new role at Celtic

The former Celtic hero wants Kyogo Furuhashiplayed in his favored position through the center however it’s the place Grant needs Rodgers to play Adam Idahthat left me with raised eyebrows.

Grant said [The Go Radio Football Show], “You’re going to be amazed with my team.

“I would go with O’Riley, Iwata and McGregor. The the front three is going to be interesting.

“I’d play it as a front three. I’d go Maeda down the right. Go Idah on the left however in as a second striker and Kyogo via the middle.

“I’d like to see Idah there as he’s played off the left-hand aspect for Norwich. Not outside-left or taking part in on the touchline but enjoying inner the fullback and jogging interior and being a 2d striker.

“Because I don’t think, with the extensive gamers we have they’ve now not proven sufficient excellent and I think you’ve acquired to appear at some thing different.”

Idah is versatile and can play that position but the trouble is, out of his 172 profession appearances he has played on the left wing ten instances and as a second striker twice. [Transfermarkt]

Now is not the time to be pulling out these untried and untested measures. The enterprise give up of the season requires Rodgers to play his strongest crew at all times and while we are not firing on all cylinders yet, trialling a new role for a young participant at such a imperative stage of the season ought to be a massive mistake.
