Which nine Liverpool players will not be present for the match against Manchester City?

Liverpool’s preparations for one of the most anticipated Premier League matches of the season have been hampered by an increasing number of injuries, as the football world gets ready

On Sunday, March 10, the Reds will take on Manchester City, who are a formidable opponent for the crown, and Jurgen Klopp’s team will be missing several important players.

Important absences from the Liverpool team

Liverpool’s injury problems have gotten to a dangerous level as nine players have been ruled out of the team’s next match against Manchester City. The following players are out with injuries and their anticipated return dates*:

April Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 25-year-old is a significant miss and the reason Liverpool managed to salvage a point against City in November. Although Conor Bradley has been excellent at right back, he has never faced a team as formidable as Pep Guardiola’s.

April / Ryan Gravenberch. The Dutchman is officially out of the lineup for Liverpool this month after Moises Caicedo’s tackle on him in the Carabao Cup final caused him to leave Wembley on a stretcher.
April – Alisson Becker. Following Pep Lijnders’ statement that the injury will “really take time” to heal. The Brazilian is a huge loss as the world’s finest goalie. Fortunately, van Dijk believes that Caoimhin Kelleher is a world-class backup.

April, Curtis Jones. Further restricting Klopp’s options in the middle of the park is the absence of a second midfield option until April. The 23-year-old, who has been outstanding this season, will be sorely missed on Sunday at Anfield.
Unknown with Diogo Jota and Stefan Bajcetic. The team is not yet providing a return date for either player due to their extremely critical injuries.
Due to their season-long injuries, Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, and Ben Doak will not be available for Klopp, which will leave him lacking important defensive, midfield, and offensive options.

Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s absences will put Liverpool’s defense to the test. Along with Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate has been playing fantastically lately, so that part of the field is in extremely good hands.

As the Europa League campaign resumes, Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to prevent further injuries.

Liverpool’s depth in the squad will be tested as they deal with this injury issue.

Because Klopp is probably going to play a weaker-than-expected team to deal with the fixture congestion, players who have had fewer opportunities this season will need to step up and deliver performances in Europe.

Although Jurgen Klopp has experienced difficulties in the past, managing this wave of injuries against a Manchester City club of this caliber is a difficult undertaking. Liverpool needs to show tactical creativity, player tenacity, and maybe even a little bit of luck if they want to come out of this week with a team prepared to take on the favorites.

All eyes will be on Klopp’s starting selection and his strategy for dealing with the absence of important players as Sunday draws near.

This is a pivotal point in Liverpool’s season, and how they handle this misfortune could determine how they play for the rest of it.
