James Milner received almost as much (if not more) attention after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday as he did during the game
The 37-year-old was making his final Anfield appearance for the Reds before departing this summer, and he, along with fellow out-of-contract teammates Bobby Firmino, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, were given parting gifts.

However, before those were given out, the veteran midfielder appeared to have some choice words for opposition goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who was guilty of some blatant time-wasting throughout the afternoon.
James Milner. Final game at Anfield, could be lost in the emotion, instead picks up Villa keeper Martinez off the floor and quite possibly calls him a time wasting bellend. ????

Milner approached the Argentine, who was sitting on the turf after full-time, and forcibly dragged him to his feet, according to Paul Machin of The Redmen TV. The Liverpool man appeared to be exchanging candid opinions with the 30-year-old, who immediately gestured back.
We can only speculate on what was said between the two players, but their body language would suggest that it wasn’t the friendliest of exchanges, especially given the 2022 World Cup winner’s use of delay tactics during the game.
