After Liverpool’s win over Fulham, Jurgen Klopp waxed lyrical about Alisson Becker

The Liverpool goalkeeper kept a clean sheet as the Reds defeated the Londoners 1-0 at Anfield.

In the first half, Alisson made a great save to deny Carlos Vinicius after a great Issa Diop through-ball.

Later in the game, the Reds goalkeeper made an even better save from the same player.

Following a good delivery from Willian, Alisson saved Vinicius’ sliding effort at his near post.

The Brazilian goalkeeper’s efforts aided Liverpool’s fifth consecutive Premier League victory.

According to BBC Sport, Klopp said after the game, “Alisson was close to crying with a clean sheet.”

“It’s unusual for us this season!” It’s especially nice for him.”

The Reds won the game thanks to Mohamed Salah’s penalty in the 39th minute.

Liverpool’s next Premier League match is against Brentford on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. BST at Anfield.

Liverpool haven’t had a particularly successful season, but it’s encouraging to see them regaining form and potentially finishing on a high note.

The Reds will not give up their pursuit of a top-four spot, despite the fact that it is very much in Manchester United’s hands.

Nonetheless, even if Liverpool does not qualify for the Champions League, optimism is beginning to return.

The summer should see significant investment in the playing squad, particularly in midfield and defense.

Meanwhile, Alisson continues to do wonders for the club he has so admirably represented since 2018.

To be fair, he has 14 clean sheets this season, including 11 in the league.

In the competition, this is one more than Ederson and one less than Aaron Ramsdale.

Alisson’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2027.

This means Reds fans will get to see a lot more of the “unbelievable” stopper.
