Tre Mitchell Claps Back at Louisville Fanbase Claims

Tre Mitchell Claps Back at Louisville Fanbase Claims: “Y’all Know That’s Cap!” 🔥😤

It didn’t take long for former Kentucky forward Tre Mitchell to get dragged into the always-heated rivalry between Kentucky and Louisville but the veteran Wildcat wasn’t about to let it slide.

Earlier this week, Mitchell’s name popped up unexpectedly on the Field of 68 podcast, thanks to a conversation involving Sananda Fru, an incoming freshman for the Louisville Cardinals. Fru, who played alongside Mitchell last season for the German pro team Löwen Braunschweig, mentioned his former teammate while praising his soon-to-be college fanbase.

“Tre Mitchell said [Louisville has] the best fans in the whole world, basically,” Fru claimed.

Even Fru himself quickly backed off the comment, adding, “‘Best fans’ is a bit crazy, but he said they got a great fanbase, they’re gonna love me.”

But the damage was already done.

BBN Responds, Mitchell Reacts 👀

It didn’t take long for Big Blue Nation to catch wind of the quote and they were not having it. Social media lit up with reactions from Kentucky fans, who were quick to remind everyone that Mitchell was a key part of the 2023-24 Wildcats squad that marched into the KFC Yum! Center and steamrolled the Cards in a 95-76 blowout. The crowd was so packed with blue that it often felt like a Rupp Arena road show.

Mitchell? He wasn’t about to let the false narrative linger.

He took to Instagram with a short but savage response:

“Y’all know that’s cap 🤣🤣🤣🤣 BBN L’s ⬇️”

Facts Over Fiction 📊

In case anyone forgot, Tre Mitchell dominated in that win over Louisville, putting up 18 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks in what was one of his best performances in a Kentucky uniform. Not only did he torch the Cards on their home floor, but he did it in front of a fanbase that traveled louder and deeper than their rivals.

So to say he claimed Louisville has the “best fans in the world”? Mitchell wasn’t having it, and neither was BBN.

The Bottom Line 💬

While it’s no surprise that a Louisville freshman might want to hype up his new home, bringing Tre Mitchell into the conversation probably wasn’t the move. He made it clear: his loyalty lies with the blue and white, not the red and black.

And in a rivalry as fierce as Kentucky vs. Louisville, sometimes one emoji says it all:
L’s ⬇️
