Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, is just hours away from finalizing a £40 million contract.
Tottenham Hotspur are close to completing the acquisition of James Maddison, and the Leicester City midfielder might be introduced as the newest addition at Hotspur Way tonight, according to Sky Sports correspondent Michael Bridge.
Spurs completed the signing of Guglielmo Vicario for an initial cost of £17.2 million earlier this week, but head coach Ange Postecoglou is close to completing another deal.

According to The Guardian, Maddison will have a physical before his £40 million move to Tottenham is finalized.
According to the source, the England international has already committed to a long-term deal with the north Londoners, allowing Postecoglou to establish a more offensive style of play.

The news comes after transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano recently told GIVEMESPORT that Postecoglou’s #1 priority was the dynamic midfielder.

Bridge told GIVEMESPORT on Wednesday, “I think it’s going to be done tonight.” It’s a really fantastic signing, and I’m confident Ange Postecoglou will integrate him right away.”It’s also a lift for Postecoglou because it says, “I’m a very good England international, and I want to play for you.”

Will Maddison be a beneficial addition to Tottenham’s squad?
Maddison may not have kept Leicester in the Premier League, but according to Sofascore statistics, he averaged a goal every 248 minutes and played 2.3 important passes each game last season.
In fact, the 26-year-old scored 10 goals in all competitions, while also providing nine assists, highlighting his ability in the last third of the field.
WhoScored gave Maddison an average match rating of 7.24 for his Premier League performances, a level that no other Leicester teammate matched.
With that in mind, making a bid for the £110,000-per-week superstar was a no-brainer for Tottenham.
Maddison has scored 77 goals in 163 Premier League games and may be a game-changer for Postecoglou as he attempts to make his imprint at Spurs.
